Satellite
Meal Service (SMS)
Satellite Meal Service provides frozen, home-cooked
meals, which are delivered to clients once a week for storage in their home freezer.
SMS meals are also offered for sale in Ina's Café (Atrium, "B" Building) and from a "Meals to Go" vending machine located in the Coat Room (Atrium). This
service enables those it serves to remain more independent in their own homes.
This includes convalescents, the elderly, the physically challenged, and those
with limited mobility.
Each meal comes with heating instructions and is
oven ready for microwave, toaster oven, or regular oven. Each meal includes a
5-6 oz. meat portion; potato, pasta, or rice; vegetable; soup (packaged separately); and dessert (packaged
separately).
SMS is a volunteer
supported service, working to bring nutritional support to clients in their homes.
