Satellite Meal Service (SMS) provides frozen, home-cooked meals, which can be ordered through the Satellite Meal Service Office for pick up at Niagara Ina Grafton Gage Village or through your local Meals On Wheels office for weekly delivery to the clients’ homes. SMS meals are also offered for sale in Ina’s Café (St. Catharines site). This volunteer-supported service enables those it serves to remain more independent in their own homes. This includes convalescents, the elderly, the physically challenged, and those with limited mobility.
Each meal comes with heating instructions and is oven ready for microwave, toaster oven, or regular oven. A meal includes a 5-6 oz. meat portion; potato, pasta, or rice; vegetable; soup (packaged and sold separately); and dessert (packaged separately).
