Assistant Manager, Environmental Services: Nathan Warden

Nathan’s career at Ina Grafton began in November 2000 when he worked as a casual in the Dietary,Maintenance, and Custodial departments. In March 2002, Nathan joined the Maintenance Department. In March 2008, he became Assistant Manager, Environmental Services and is now responsible for maintaining the facility in both Maintenance and Custodial capacities on a day-to-day basis . Nathan has also been studying part time and will graduate with a B.A. in General Studies in 2009 from Brock University . He enjoys hockey, basketball, football, and baseball, and coaches Junior and Senior Boys High School Basketball . . Nathan’s hobbies include reading, playing sports, enjoying the great outdoors, and spending time with his wife, dog, and cat.

 

 

 

Assistant Manager, Supportive Housing Services: Elizabeth Medland


Elizabeth Medland became a member of the Ina Grafton team in January 2004 as Assistant Manager, Supportive Housing. Her education and previous experience in the health care field make her a perfect fit with the rest of the team. Elizabeth enjoys running, Bridge, shopping, music, and reading.

Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer: Lynda Purpura


In November 1993, Lynda Purpura joined the Ina Grafton team as an Administrative Assistant. Now as Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, she coordinates and carries out the support needs of the Chief Executive Officer by performing a variety of administrative duties. She also provides clerical support to the Management Team. Lynda was educated as a Registered Nurse, but made a career change in 1987 when she attended the Lifetime Learning Centre at the St. Catharines Collegiate and received a certificate from the Adult General Office Assistant Program and the Administrative Office Assistant Cooperative Program. Her interests include going to the gym, cycling, camping, and watching movies.




Administrative Assistant – Finance: Jennifer Tirpko


Jennifer Tirpko joined the Administrative Team iin April 2001. As Administrative Assistant - Finance, she is responsible for payroll/scheduling functions for all departments, human resources functions, clerical support to managers, maintenance of the Policy and Procedure Manuals, and the creatation of forms, brochures, and PowerPoint presentations for the organization. Jennifer is a graduate of the Office Administration Executive Program at Niagara College. After her day at Ina Grafton, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, reading, or watching a good movie.

Administrative Assistant – Leasing: Bernice DeGuire


In June 1999, Bernice DeGuire joined the Administration Office staff as receptionist. In the role of Administrative Assistant - Leasing, Bernice assists the Manager, Finance with the collection and entry of financial information; assists the Manager, Volunteers in all aspects of the Volunteer Program; and is responsible for leasing. Bernice received a Medical Secretarial Certificate from Niagara College and spent 15 years in customer service. In March 2003, she completed a Volunteer Management course at Niagara College. Bernice enjoys sewing, baking, and spending time with her family..

Administrative Clerk: Melody Kerr


Melody Kerr officially joined the Ina Grafton team in October 2004, but she had actually been involved at Ina Grafton since 1997 as a volunteer assistant to Henry Goerzen, Pastoral Care Coordinator. Now as Administrative Clerk, Melody represents the first line of contact to the public. She maintains the resident database, the waiting list, and produces invoices for the Satellite Meal Service Program and Lower Level functions. She schedules Village and community activities and handles the cash register, mail, switchboard, and typing assignments. Prior to working here, Melody was an elementary school teacher for ten years and a Personal Support Worker for six years. Besides caring for seniors, she enjoys her church activities, singing, gardening, antiques, and the outdoors.
